The red trial characteristic line shows the performance characteristic that applied during the period of favourable operation. To make this the default target for future performance, we once again copy the red numbers from the 'Characteristic lines' summary table and paste their values only into the source data table starting at row 5 (remember to use Excel's Edit, Paste Special, Values command):
Caution: if you accidentally give Excel's Edit, Paste command you will get unintended consequences. Repeat the Edit, Paste Special, Values command to undo the mistake.
